When it comes to Mexican San Andres tobacco who better to blend it than the Mexican based crew out of Casa 1910. We had the chance to meet up and catch up on all the new Casa 1910 offerings for 2024 at the trade-show.
We sat down with the master blender, Manolo Santiago, again for the second year in a row. First up, the Mexigar.

The Mexigar was introduced at the trade show with the anticipation of being released to consumers through shops this coming summer. Manolo described the idea behind the blend to be something that pays tribute to the flavors that embody Mexican cuisine across the country. These flavors include; chilies, distinctive spices, and sweet chocolate. Manolo also revealed to us that there are going to be 2 offerings which each have different wrappers with an assortment of Mexican tobaccos making up the binder and filler tobaccos. They [the blends] will be changing from time to time, with different tobacco, aroma and flavor profiles. Showing different aspects of the unique Mexico.

Casa 1910’s Booth

Plenty on display this year with a much more inviting booth this year in comparison to the booth Casa 1910 displayed last year. Much more inviting and more open for not only the interview but for purveyors looking to add Casa 1910 into their humidors. It was also was nice to see Casa 1910 displaying all of their honors they’ve received from media and other cigar sites of their blends! We can’t wait to see what they drum up for PCA in New Orleans in 2025.
