Under new ownership, Cigar Vault East is entering its next chapter with a bold rebrand to Overton’s, honoring Austin legend and America’s oldest WWII veteran, Richard Arvin Overton. Known nationwide for his front‑porch hospitality and daily cigar ritual, Overton remains one of the most iconic figures in modern cigar culture — a symbol of connection, tradition, and the simple joy of a good smoke.
The rebrand reflects a renewed vision for the East Austin lounge, including upgraded humidor selections, refreshed interiors, and a revitalized backyard designed for community‑driven cigar experiences.

Overton’s invites the cigar community to experience a curated humidor, elevated hospitality, and the welcoming spirit inspired by the life of WWII veteran and cigar icon Richard Overton.
The Grand Opening Celebration will be held Sept 25, 2026, featuring Austin’s own RoMa Craft, whiskey with Emiliano Guajardo, Master Distiller at Still Austin, craft beer from Blue Owl Brewing and Hi Sign Brewing, plus raffles, live music, and food.
