For decades the, “Old World,” names have dominated the charts and internet search bars when it comes to looking for the highest quality out there. These companies have enjoyed the benefit of their name and timeless blends that continue to pop up on media publications for, “Top 20,” lists year in and year out. One thing is for certain, though… the industry is changing and the consumer is letting their voice be heard through their palate.
Steve Saka and Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust have been surging through the ranks and are starting to make a name for themselves as they continue to reach the pinnacle of the Annual Consensus lists that Halfwheel curates accumulated by dozens of cigar reviewers across the net year in and year out.
A decade after Saka set off from his position as CEO at Drew Estate Cigars, DTT has become just as much of a household name as the former. Decorating public humidors, online selections and private home lounges, Dunbarton has provided blends that have replaced, “old favorites,” to be included in many smokers’ rotations. From the humble beginnings of discount furniture and zero cigars to hand out to potential customers at their genesis, to having to turn away new accounts due to demand and popularity going through the roof, Saka and the DTT team have decided that there should be a cigar to mark the anniversary milestone in a hopeful long stay in the industry.

“I decided to return [to] the conception of our first cigar, the Sobremesa. Everyone expected DTT to debut with a heavy broadleaf cigar, it was what I was known for, but I decided instead of crafting an alternative to that liga, to create something totally different, something fresh with all new ingredients, something that no one had ever seen from me: a complex, balanced, nuanced style of liga.
So, it is with a grateful and happy heart, I introduce to you the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust 10th Jubilee.“
Steve Saka, Founder and Co-Owner of DTT.
Wrapped in an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and a Mexicano Claro binder, the cigar will set out to provide a flavor profile unmatched in the current Dunbarton lineup. Add in the fillers of a 4 Region Nicaraguan – “Finca Específica,” and you’re expected to find notes of Toffee, graham cracker, musk, earth, and tempered spice.

The Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust 10th Jubilee will come in a traditional DTT 13 count box of parejos coming in the shape of a 5 5/8 x 48 Corona Gordo and an MSRP of $18.95 per Cigar / $246.40 per Box.
“It is a totally new liga featuring six unique tobaccos I have never used before now. It is comprised of 4 different finca specific Nicaraguan tripas – each from one of Nica’s legendary growing regions, a Mexicano Claro capote and a glorious Ecuador Sumatran Negra capa. Meticulously blended into an intricate recipe that delivers toffee with a touch of graham cracker to its smoke. It exhibits notes of musk and earth laced with a Sarawak peppercorn-like spice and has a lingering sweet, woodsy finish. It manages to capture that wonderful balance of being rich and robust, very complex to the palate and nose, yet smooth as silk.”
Steve Saka, Master Ligador for DTT.
The Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust 10th Jubilee is expected to be available for retailers later in 2025 around the month of October. The blend will be on display at this years annual Premium Cigar Association with a whole host of other blends Saka expects to release this year.
We will provide exclusive coverage of the PCA trade show again this year and have a dedicated time with Steve Saka and the team to get a first look at the offerings available. Our PCA coverage is sponsored by Drew Estate Cigar.
