Last weekend was the second Barnsmoker of the year that Drew Estate puts together for consumers on a yearly basis. And back from the 1 year hiatus, Kentucky was back on the menu!
Last year Drew Estate selected Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Florida for their Barnsmoker locations, leaving out Kentucky and Louisiana from previous years. This year, though, Drew Estate switched out Pennsylvania for the small town of Hopkinsville for the 2024 circuit, and we loved seeing Kentucky back on the map!
Kentucky was the first Barnsmoker event we ever attended and it just happens to be the fondest of Barnsmoker events for me, Chief, out of all of the locations. Not that I don’t love them all…there’s just something special to me about the Kentucky farms. Maybe its just nostalgia and sentimentality.
Since last year I have attempted to get footage at Barnsmoker events that give a different perspective on the events. Not an interview or the classes, but a, “behind the scenes,” vibe of the farm and what makes the event special.
Take some time (about 5 minutes) to sit back and just enjoy what I feel makes this event so special, the farm.
