Nestled in the mountains of Montana, Big Sky Cigar Co has set its sights on restoring tobacco history to the great state and American market. According to their website, Montana at one time, had 1 cigar factory per almost 2,000 residents. Importing tobacco from all over the central America’s to create cigars for early Americans to enjoy.
Jess Coleman and Brandon Marsh have set their eyes to restore the premium cigar movement and have created a handful of blends that pay homage to the rivers of Montana and the teeming life within them.
Big Sky Cigar Co. debuted its brand new PCA release, Blackfoot, a Dominican cigar which contains:
- Wrapper: San Andreas
- Binder: Habano
- Filler: Corojo
We were fortunate enough to be able to sample the Blackfoot while on the Tradeshow floor and we were both blown away with the profile and strength. This is not a cigar you turn your back on. The Blackfoot was full bodied and has a nice kick that keeps your attention the full smoke. A little spicy on the front end, but a nice full body mellow quickly follows the initial bite.
Big Sky Cigar Co. also sets its eyes on a mission and cause bigger than cigars. On their website they have at least 3 offerings: Yellowstone, Big Horn 2.0 and Yellowstone River Box where A portion of proceeds from each box sold is to be donated to Warriors and Quiet Waters, a Montana based therapeutic fly fishing program for post 9/11 veterans and their families.
